Who is the course for?
The course is designed for anyone interested in mastering the a foreign language. Ideal for people who holiday, have friends/ relatives, or business contacts abroad.

What is the course about?
The course is designed to build on students` undersatnding of a foreign language. The course covers topics such as writing letters, asking for information and looking after a visitor. Newspaper articles, notices and advertisemants will also be looked at. There will also be consideration of how to raise complaints and deal with problems whilst abroad.

Will I need anything else?
No specialist equipment required.

How long & often do I attend?
Students attend class once a week.

How will I be assessed?
The course is assessed through portfolio building around a series of practical activities. There will also be an examination for GCSE students.

What opportunities will this lead to?
Students can develop their language skills after this course by progressing to Stage 4.
