Course programme


The course will consist of practical and theoretical units, which will provide learners with the opportunity to become a Natural Artist — an eye for detail with an instinctive sense of design within the field of Games Development. This course will cover the process of working with in 3D art and games and will involve creating all the assets related to the graphical representation of a game, encompassing the artistic management of projects and production of graphical images for a game world, character, animation and interface design will be studied.




Some of the topics that will be studied include:



  • Traditional Graphics — anatomy, perspective, graphical research, char-acter and environment design

  • History of Game Art — image analysis and consistent design principles

  • Investigate Culture — stories, myths and literature

  • Media Analysis — vocabulary, the market and composition

  • Creativity Methods & Brainstorming Technique

  • Interface Design — ergonomics and typography

  • 2D Graphics — application of specific tools like Photoshop and Illustra-tor

  • 3D Graphics — controlling production with software such as Maya, Zbrush, Unity, UDK

  • Special Effects — assembly, animation, direction

  • Final Major Project — explore a concept, research, develop and deliver
