If dressmaking is not your thing but you’re ready for a sewing machine challenge why not combine old and new skills and make one of these gorgeous 50s style snap frame purses.
Using your own choice of fabric and lining, we’ll take you step by step through using a pattern, constructing the body of your purse and affixing a metal snap frame. You’ll make your purse, using fleece for strength and durability, meaning you can use it over and over again!
Choose from two different pattern styles - either short and sweet for coins, cards and a lipstick or the longer shape, ideal for your sunglasses or summer make-up.
To get the best from this course you’ll need to be able to thread a machine and bobbin and sew a straight and zig-zag stitch or have taken one of our basic sewing skills courses Beginners Sewing: Candy striped make up bag, Basic sewing machine skills and alterations or Beginners Sewing: Zip and buttonhole cushions
