Offshore personnel working with chemical treatments or use of chemicals related to production from the reservoir or to the processing units on a platform. This course is also recommended for personnel responsible for health, environment and safety offshore and onshore as well as supply base personnel in logistics, sales transport or destruction of chemicals.

About this course
After completing this course the students should be able to operate equipment used to apply chemicals to production wells, injection wells and the process installations on a platform. Students should also be able to explain the purpose, estimate doses rates and effect of the different chemicals and ensure that the chemicals and equipment are used in accordance with current regulations.
Completion of common course subjects – Level 1 – or equivalent qualifications are recommended.
This web-based course is in accordance with the guidelines from The Norwegian Oil Industry Association and covers the official Norwegian syllabus for Technical College, Petroleum Technology Faculty. The course is equivalent to 38 hours of normal tuition in this subject.
