Overview
By studying and exploring the fundamentals of science you will feel confident applying your understanding of Biology, Chemistry and Physics to a range of scientific investigations. This course will further develop your understanding of Science, so that you are confident in applying for further study.

Entry Requirements
4 GCSEs A* - C in English, maths and science or the successful completion of Level 2 Diploma in Science (you will be advised by your tutor which route would suit your needs). This is a one year course that is equivalent to 1.5 A levels. You will complete the 90 Credit Diploma course in your first year, and you can then progress onto our Extended Diploma qualification in your second year, in the same subject. This will help you to attain the optional units required to attain the full 3 A level equivalent qualification in your chosen subject.

Skills and Benefits
This qualification will give you the skills needed to continue study on our Extended Diploma qualification, where you will complete optional units to enable to have a 3 A level equivalent qualification in Science.

Assessment is by coursework assignments (including written and practical assignments, presentations, observations and special projects), you are required to work to deadlines for the completion of coursework through classroom based and independent study.

Progression
You will be interviewed and can progress onto the Extended Diploma qualification.
