Course summary

Kent based, LearnInvicta, offers the A1 Assessor Award (Level 3) is designed to give candidates the skills, knowledge and understanding to become an accredited workplace assessor. Run by LearnInvicta Limited and accredited through City & Guilds, the course combines practical and theory sessions and provides candidates with the opportunity to practice the key skills of assessing. It covers the essential underpinning knowledge in order to gain an accredited qualification.

Prerequisites

This award is for NVQ assessors and therefore candidates must be in employment or a realistic work environment where registered NVQ candidates require assessment.

Course description

The A1 is an individual unit from the Learning and Development NVQ and is a requirement for all those who assess NVQ candidates, or competence based assessments. The programme is made up of group sessions and individual appointments to support and guide the candidate through the award. Assessment method

Assessment will be carried out by a qualified NVQ assessor which will include; Observation of workplace activities, Product evidence, Questions, Witness statements, Accreditation of Prior Achievements and Learning.

For those who have an active role in competence assessment.

Study type and Venue

This is offered as a part time course, which can be delivered at locations of your convenience dependant on numbers.

Course duration and start details

The course is run over a 3 month period with candidates attending agreed appointments to cover all the necessary activities involved. Start dates are by arrangement.

Courses are taught in English.
