The Level 3 Award in assessing vocationally related achievement qualification is designed for those who assess in environments such as classrooms. The aim of the course is to assess the candidate assessor’s performance in assessing vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in environments other than the workplace.

Course programme
The course is assessed by a portfolio of evidence which you have to compile and submit at the end of the course. You will be normally expected to complete 5 Scenarios and 4 questions to complete unit 1.
You will need to support and assess at least two candidates who are following a vocational program where there is a clear defined assessment criteria. You will also be expected to demonstrate knowledge of assessment and carry out a minimum of four assessments that examine the skills , knowledge and understanding of your two candidates. The assessments should include checking prior learning, observation of practice and work products, questioning and discussions. You are free to use any other additional assessment methods except simulation. By the end of the course there should also be evidence of planning assessments, giving feedback, reviewing, participating in standardisation and continuous development activities.
