Unit 4 Further aspects of Management Accounting.
* Manufacturing accounts
* Marginal, absorption and activity based costing
* Standard costing and variance analysis
* Capital investment appraisal
* Budgeting: further considerations
* Other factors affecting decision-making
* Social accounting.
Assessment procedure:
Each exam will consist of
four compulsory questions , each carrying a variable number of marks, each with a variable number of sub-questions.
Unit 3 written paper 2 hours.
(25% of the total A Level marks)
Unit 4 written paper 2 hours.
(25% of the total A Level marks)
Qualifications achieved:
GCE A2 Level Accounting, awarded by AQA

A level accounting is a practical qualification which employers in the business sector find particularly attractive.
Universities will accept this subject for entry to a wide variety of Business Studies and Management courses, as well as more specialist courses in Economics, Marketing, Banking , Finance and Public Finance.
For some professional qualifications OEA level Accounting allows exemption from the accounting examinations at intermediate level.
