Unit F322 Chains, Energy and Resources

In this unit you will learn about the basic concepts of Organic Chemistry, Energetic Reactions and our resources. These will include the study of organic compounds like hydrocarbons, alcohols, halogenoalkanes and the analysis of organic compounds. You will also study reactions involving energy changes and the earth's resources.

Unit F323 Practical Skills in Chemistry 1

In this unit you will have your practical and investigative skills assessed in 3 separate tasks. Task 1: Qualitative, to assess what is present; Task 2: Quantitative, to assess how much is present and Task 3: Evaluative to assess the quality of data and procedures.

A2 Level (Second Year of Course)
Unit F324 Rings, Polymers and Analysis
  • Rings, acids and amines
  • Polymers and synthesis
  • Analysis

Unit F325 Equilibria, Energetics and Elements
  • Rates, equilibrium and pi-
  • Energy
  • Transition Elements

Unit F326 Practical Skills in Chemistry 2

You will be assessed on your skills carrying out one task from each of the following categories: Qualitative, Quantitive and Evaluative tasks.
