Educated to GCSE standard with GCSE English at grade C or above. However for mature students life experience will be taken into account.

Who is this course for?
The course is intended for those who wish to study law at an advanced level in preparation for higher level study. Or for those who have an interest in the subject and wish to develop an appreciation and critical awareness of the legal issues that may affect their daily lives.
What will I learn?
AS Level - you will study the Legal System of England and Wales e.g. legal concepts, sources and methodology, legislation, judicial precedent and European Law etc.A2 Level - the areas studied will be Contract and Consumer Law.Learning will be conducted through packs containing the relevant information for the topic and exercises which have to be submitted on a regular basis. One to one/group tutorials will be arranged upon request.
Assessment
AS Level -
Assessment is through one stimulus response, essays and an applied question in examinations of 1.5 hours, 45 minutes and 45 minutes. A2 Level -
Assessment is through 3 written examinations of 1.5 hours, 1.5 hours and 1 hour respectively.
On Completion Achievement / Progression
There is a wide range of careers available to law students on completion of higher level study. AS level provides a firm base of knowledge for the further study of Law. A2 will count towards entry into Higher Education and is useful in relation to vocational courses and employment.
