Course Aims

The practical and theoretical experiences gained will be examined in greater depth with more emphasis on how these are best utilised within the constraints of the A2 discipline, thereby focusing on raising awareness, confidence and overall attainment within this demanding subject.

All practical exercises, periodic analysis and study notes will be distributed
throughout the day.

  • A demonstration of advanced sequencing/recording techniques
  • System Exclusive, Patch Name Scripts, Bulk Dumps etc...
  • How do we combine sequence and audio
  • Using audio processing for sequenced tracks and visa versa
  • Advanced quantisation techniques to all tracks
  • Using outboard with SMPTE, MMC, MTC, LTC, VITC coding
  • Setting up sync options with multitrack/PC/Mac
  • Enhancers, Exciters, Expanders, Finalisers etc.......
  • Mastering suites/programmes.
