You will have to sit a diagnostic assessment to see whether this level of study is suitable for you. Mature students may not need the same academic qualifications but will have to sit the diagnostic assessment.

Course Content:
This course includes: research Skills and Data Analysis, Psychological Disorders such as schizophrenia, Psychology in Action (e.g. media influences), Psychology Topics (e.g. gender, intelligence, eating disorders).
Other Information:
Assessment for this course is by two written exams. You will also have regular assignments, tests and a mock exam. Students will also carry out and analyse psychological investigations You will need to achieve good grades in all these to be entered for the A2 examination.
Progression:
Succesful students may progress to University or employment. A2 Psychology would be specifically useful in careers such as: Sports, Health, Clinical and Educational Psychology. It also compliments areas of Social Work, Teaching, Counselling, Personnel Management, Nursing, and Medicine or Specifically Health, Clinical, and Educational Psychology
