About this course

You should already have AS Religious Studies at Grade D or above, plus 5 GCSE's in academic subjects including English at Grade C or above. You will have to sit a diagnostic assessment to see whether this level of study is suitable for you. Mature students may not need the same academic qualifications but will have to sit the diagnostic assessment.

Course Content:
The course includes the following units: Religious Ethics: Free will, The Nature and role of the Conscience and Practical Ethics: Islam: Sufism, Qu'ran and Hadith. plus sura for environmental ethics. Synoptic: The Ethics of Islam, The Concept of the Umman, and Comparisons with other ethical theories.

Other Information:
You will be assessed both informally through regular assignments, tests and mock examinations, and formally by three written examinations.
