AS & A Level History

This course will offer students the opportunity to gain a national qualification in history. AS/ A Level topics include American History focusing on The Development of British Hegemony in America, Causes of the American Revolution and The Early Republic. You will also study British History including topics such as: Britian in a new century, Britain at War, Role of Prime Ministers, plus much more. The course includes a wide variety of learning experiences such as lectures, one-to-one tutorials, ICT based tasks, practical work, group work, discussions/ debates, DVDs and personal research. Also as part of your course you will be offered the chance to go on several educational visits including a trip to Berlin and a further trip to Munich and Nuremburg. There is also a programme of guest lecturers who attend on a regular basis.
