The course aims to increase your understanding of composition, lighting, camera controls and lenses and will develop your visual and critical awareness. It will introduce you to the studio, darkroom and location work, in addition to theoretical and technical aspects of photography. You will be encouraged to explore a variety of media; both digital and film-based.

AS (one year qualification) Following an introduction to the subject you will complete one component, the 'Personal Creative Enquiry' (100%). A Level (two year qualification) You will need to submit two components; Component 1: Personal Investigation, 60% of qualification, internally assessed, externally moderated. Component 2: Externally Set Assignment, 40% of qualification, internally assessed, externally moderated
