This course will offer students the opportunity to gain a national qualification in textile design which covers many techniques and exciting way of working. You will explore the use of different materials and methods of construction. Throughout the course you will be given the opportunity to take part in several related gallery/ exhibition visits. In recent years this has included the Birmingham Clothes Show Live fashion event.

Course programme

AS (one year qualification) Following an introduction to the subject you will complete one component, the 'Personal Creative Enquiry' (100%). A Level (two year qualification) You will need to submit two components; Component 1: Personal Investigation, 60% of qualification, internally assessed, externally moderated. Component 2: Externally Set Assignment, 40% of qualification, internally assessed, externally moderated
