People seeking an accounting qualification or wishing to work in accounting. If you're new to finance or you're looking to brush up on your foundation knowledge and skills
What qualifications or experience do I need ?There is no entry requirement however learners must demonstrate good numeracy and literacy skills or relevant work experience.
What will I study ?You will study the recording of business transactions in the primary records of businesses, and the posting of the ledgers from the books of original entry. You will also examine the financial statements of different types of businesses - clubs and societies, partnerships and limited companies. By the end of 'Practical bookkeeping and final accounts', you will be familiar with the more practical aspects of day-to-day bookkeeping and the contents and format of the final accounts for different types of organisation
How will I be assessed ?You'll take two 2-hour assessments, both computer based assessment
What qualifications could I achieve ?On successful completion of this course you will gain AAT Certificate in Accounting

Further InformationMode of study: *3 hrs per week on Saturdays from 9.30 - 12.30 PLEASE NOTE ALL EXAMS WILL FALL OUT OF LESSON TIME AND YOU WILL BE INFORMED IN ADVANCE THE DATES OF ALL YOUR EXAMS. YOU WILL BE EXPECTED TO MAKE THE NECESSARY ARRANGEMENTS TO ENSURE YOU ATTEND ALL YOUR EXAMS AS DIRECTED.
