As the final level of this full online AAT qualification, AAT Level 4 training course is aimed at students with a more advanced level of accounting knowledge and those who have completed AAT Level 3 online course. With the increased difficulty comes a more complex syllabus that will allow you to specialise the specific areas of accounting that you find most interesting, such as tax or credit control. The online AAT Level 4 course is made up of 6 units, 4 are compulsory and 2 are optional:
Financial statements: The principles and actualities of preparing and drafting financial statements
Budgeting: How and why budgets are prepared, budgetary procedures, the preparation of revenue forecasts and financial recommendations
Financial performance: How to handle and calculate financial performance, analyse figures and judgement making alongside management
Internal control and accounting systems: Understanding the role of internal control systems and estimating
AND 2 of the following 4:
Credit management and control: The principles of credit management, advising on credit and debt management and setting credit limits
Personal tax: The main principles of personal tax and how to calculate it with regard to income and payments
Business tax: The preparation of tax returns for sole traders, partnerships and incorporated businesses
External auditing: Master the legislative and professional requirements for planning as part of a team as well as conducting and drafting an external audit report.
