Association of Accounting Technicians
What will I do?
Six units have been chosen for study.
Compulsory Units:

• Contributing to the Management of Performance and the Enhancement of Value (central assessment)
• Contributing to the Planning and Control of Resources (central assessment)
• Managing Systems and People in the Accounting Environment (project)

Devolved assessments
Optional Units:

• Operating a Cash Management and Credit Control System
• Preparing Personal Taxation Computations
• Drafting Financial Statements (Accounting Practice, Industry and Commerce) (central assessment)

Entry requirements
Successful completion of AAT Intermediate Programme.
Assessment
Assessment is through AAT simulations, project work and three central assessments.
Progression
After successfully completing the course, students could progress on to higher level professional accountancy qualifications including Association of Chartered Accountants (ACCA) and Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) awards.
How long is the course?
1 year (6 hours per week)
6.30-9.30pm Wednesdays and Thursdays
