Who is the course for?
People who wish to develop the practical skills required to work in an accountancy environment.

What is the course about?
The AAT Technician is the final level of a 3 year qualification. It is an NVQ 4 and covers various units including preparation of advanced manual financial and cost accounts, taxation, cash and credit management and a work based report.

Will I need anything else?
Ideally, students will be in employment, in an accounting environment.

How long & often do I attend?
The programme will commence in September and finish in June. Attendance will be two evenings per week.

How will I be assessed?
Students are assessed throughout the year by a combination of portfolio building, workplace assessment, skills tests and four external AAT examinations.

What opportunities will this lead to?
After completion of the Technician level, you could progress to a professional accountancy qualification such as CIMA or ACCA.
