By the end of the session learners will have had the opportunity to look at:

• The tricky question of Abandonment in Law and definition of abandonment.
• How to deal practically with cases - Health and Safety issues.
• The different types of illegal occupancies by completing a matrix for all eventualities.
• The options for handling different situations including squatters.
• Case studies involving subletting, unauthorised occupants, illegal assignments and squatters.
• Identify the impact of recent case law for abandonment, illegal occupancy and tolerated Trespassers.
