Programme
The course combines general and academic English (with a particular focus on writing) alongside academic study skills, and Exam preparation. Sometimes you will work with a course book and sometimes with handouts provided by your teacher. There will be a mixture of class hours, tutorials, homework and guided self access. This course will cover the four skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing, with a focus on improving your fluency and ability to communicate in English. We also work on your grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. The course is structured with a textbook and teachers also use other materials, such as DVDs, newspapers and magazines, and music. We plan our lessons to suit the needs and interests of the group. Afternoon classes will focus on academic language and skills, rather than general English. You will receive advice on self-study and are encouraged to use English outside the classroom, particularly on our fun social programme, which includes cultural, social and sporting activities. We limit our class sizes to a maximum of 12 people so that you receive more attention than you would if you were in a larger class.

Included in this course

  • Student welcome pack on arrival
  • Placement test on your first day
  • Student feedback sessions
