Academic English

A short one to one course is an ideal way to prepare for study at school or university in the UK. We concentrate on exactly what you need to know so that when you attend your school or University your confidence in speaking and understanding English will be maximised.

With an Academic English programme you will learn the spoken English needed to communicate with tutors and other students. In addition to improving your English your Host Tutor will also help you learn about the local culture and way of life, so that you feel prepared to study in an English speaking environment. We also concentrate on the academic skills of reading and essay writing skills needed for GCSE, A Level or Degree courses.

On an InTuition Languages English course you will improve your skills in speaking and listening as well as the important areas needed for studying, such as writing summaries and reports. You will learn how to structure and write essays. We can help you with the specialised vocabulary and language you need for your subjects, for example, science, maths and business studies.

We can arrange additional 'Special Subject' tutorials in academic subjects such as History, Geography, Economics, Mathematics, Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology for GCSE, A/s and A Level revision.
