Students acheiving the qualification have progressed to university where they have taken the following degree subjects. Business. Law. Marketing. Human Resource Management. Busness administrtion. About this course
The potential student must pass an Interview and initial assessment, accompanied by satisfactory references. Students are normally 19 years old or over.

Course programme
Course Overview
This is a one year programme with a maximum of 15 hours per week contact time which is spread over 3 days. Classes are normally held in the Minnis building. Students acheiving the qualification have progressed to university where they have taken the following degree subjects.

Most students apply to either University of Kent or Canterbury Christ Church University.
However students have been accepted at Southampton, Westminster, East Anglia, Kingston and Essex Universities
Course Structure
Students will study two mandatory modules, Business Studies and Study Skills. Three optional modules (or a combination) from the following must be taken:
- Information Technology
- Finance & Accounting
- Economics
- Management
- Law
Throughout the course students are supported by a series of 1-2-1 tutorials.
To achieve the qualification you will need to obtain at least 60 credits (of which a minimum of 45 must be at level 3, which is the highest).
GCSE Maths and/or English are also offered on Wednesday afternoons.

Access to Higher Education Diploma (Business Studies)
Assessments/Examinations
Assessment is ongoing throughout the course. A range of assessment methods are used including written assignments, worksheets, talks, presentations, 1-2-1 discussions, exams, multiple choice questions and group work.
Cost / Equipment
Tuition is free if it is your first Level 3 course and you are under 25.
There is a registration fee of approximately£100 which goes to the National Open College Network (the awarding body)
