What will I learn?
This course has been designed by City & Guilds to provide basic training and is ideal if you are seeking employment in the construction industry and want to try out different trades before deciding which route is appropriate for your career path. You will gain experience in a number of trade units from the areas of painting and decorating, brickwork, carpentry and joinery, plumbing and electrical. You will need to complete 8 units from the 57 available. You can mix and match units to suit your interest and level of ability.

How will I be taught?
This course is taught in practical and theory sessions. Literacy and numeracy sessions are included in the course content.

How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed on practical work and a portfolio of evidence.

What could I do next?
On successful completion of this course, you will be able to progress to the City & Guilds Level 1 Certificate in basic construction skills.
