Course Content: The Access to HE: Humanities course provides an opportunity to study a wide range of academic subjects. Students will examine a variety of genres in English literature including the novel, Shakespeare and modern poetry. In history students will examine the major turning points of the Twentieth Century including the Russian Revolution and the rise of Hitler.

Special Features: Types of assignments will include; essays, exams, presentations and research projects.

Progression: Students applying for the Access Humanities course often want to pursue a career in teaching, though many students want to develop their knowledge and pursue their interests in academic subjects. Students would be expected to progress into HE.
