Course programme
Access to Science is ideal for those who wish to study Mathematics or science based subjects at university level eg. Bio-chemistry, Physiotherapy, Physics and Maths. Achieving the Access Diploma is not based upon passing examinations and the course is assessed through a variety of assignments, taking the form of essays, presentations and reports. The course benefits from a range of interesting topic areas taught by well qualified, supportive and enthusiastic staff. In addition to these, separate lessons are timetabled to build the skills of communication and numeracy up to the required standard for university entry.
Students who successfully complete the course would be eligible to apply for HND or Degree courses in a science related subject area.
Additional information
Although achieving the Diploma itself is not dependent on passing an examination, each module will be assessed through a combination of assignments, seminars, presentations, formal essay, tests and exams, and group discussion.
