Access to Higher Education Diploma (Level 3)

The AAT Access Level 1 Award is divided into four comprehensive modules:

Accounting in a professional environment
- Understand how efficient working practices and personal development help to succeed.
- Appreciate how the legal framework and ethical behaviour affect the way a business is run.

Mathematics for accounting
- Build and develop skills across a range of basic mathematical functions using financial data.
- Recognise basic mathematical concepts and apply them to a range of numerical skills required by financial professionals.

Creating business documents
- Recognise documents used within the accountancy function and other areas of business.
- Comprehend the importance of good quality communications, including knowledge of formal and informal written communications.
- Identify different types of business documents and understand why it is important to choose the right style for internal and external communications.

Essential accounting procedures
- Apply basic accounting terminology to business documents and procedures.
- Understand the principles of single entry accounting systems, including preparing to record business transactions in the books of prime entry.
- Identify various types of coding and batch control.
- Prepare documents to process receipts and payments.
- Draw up a basic profit statement.

ASSESSMENT

You will take your online exam at a local testing centre..

You will need to pay the registered testing centre a fee for your exams which is £38.00

When you enrol on the course you will need to register as a member of AAT and the current cost is £39.00 and this is a one-off fee.

You will also need to pay an annual membership fee of £84.00 and this can be paid by Direct Debit in instalments if preferred.

COURSE FEES

Our aim is to provide you with the best deal available, therefore any registration fee, certification fee and full tutor support is included in the course price for you. The enrolment fee for the AAT Access Level 1 Award in Accounting home study course is £312.5, though for a limited time we are offering you the opportunity to pay only £250 which is a 20% discount if you enrol online and pay in full.

You can also opt for our Easy Payment Plan and enrol online today by paying a deposit of £62.5and then 4 equal payments of £62.5 per month. The first instalment is paid about a month after you receive your course.

Please Note: Students need to pay £161 to the AAT for exams and membership.
