The course aims to enable understudies to: Examine the relationship between bankers’ pay and firm performance.
Comprehend the current debate on regulating international banks.
Evaluate the risks facing international banks.
Appraise why, where and how banks go abroad and identify outcomes.
Critically examine cases of market failure in international banking.
Understand the functions of modern banks and how they are managed.
Discuss the emergence and evolution of international banking.
The programme provides preparation for a career in accounting or in financial institutions by developing skills at a professional level. Whilst graduates of a Masters programme in accounting and banking may obtain employment in a variety of related careers they will also appeal to a wide range of employers in management related areas. Some students would progress into further postgraduate research study in accounting or banking.
