Who is this course for?
Knowledge of accounting is helpful but not essential.
How long is this course for?

'AS' Level - 1 year, 5 hours per week
'A' Level - 2 years, 5 hours per week

What will I study?
'AS' Level comprises three modules:

• The Accounting Information System
• Financial Accounting
• Introduction to Management Accounting

'A' Level requires three more modules studied to a higher level in the second year:

• Further Aspects of Financial Accounting
• Published Accounts of Limited Companies
• Further Aspects of Management Accounting

How will I be assessed?
'AS' Level examinations are all 1 hour long, involving structured questions.

A2 Level examinations are all 1 hour 15 minutes long, involving structured questions.

What can I do after the course?
Accounting is related to a number of degree and HND course areas such as Accounting, Banking, Business, Finance, Economics, Management and many other areas. Accounting is very useful if you wish to go straight into employment, start up your own business or help to run your family business.
