About the Course
The focus of this course is financial accounting, and it will include double entry book keeping and final accounts analysis. No prior knowledge is assumed. You will begin by learning about the structure of the double entry system and how to maintain double entry accounts.
This will be followed by learning how to prepare final accounts for different types of businesses including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. Issues such as depreciation, bad debts and correcting errors are also dealt with.
By the end of the course you will have covered, to an elementary standard, most of the topics included in higher level courses.
