About this course
You need to hold the Accounting Foundation (AAT) NVQ 2 or A-Level Accounting. Direct entry is possible with significant work experience in relevant areas.

What will you be learning?
This course is for people who wish to become accounting technicians. Accounting technicians work at all levels from accounts clerks to financial controllers. AAT qualified accounting technicians can earn up to 24% more than their non-qualified counterparts.
The course covers the second stage of the AAT accounting qualification. It is assumed that the students will have covered the Foundation stage of the AAT or have a working knowledge of manual double-entry bookkeeping. Students who do not hold the Foundation AAT qualification will be required, in addition to the intermediate units, to study the Foundation computerised accounts and business knowledge units.
You will be assessed by in-course and end-of-programme assessments.

After you have successfully completed this course you can progress onto the Accounting Technician (AAT) NVQ 4.
