You can read and understand short pieces of writing such as letters, messages, simple stories, timetables and adverts. You can write short pieces of writing - for example an email to a friend, a simple letter, a story or a message.
You can work with numbers, symbols, and simple diagrams. You can add and subtract simple numbers and use simple fractions. You can use money, tell the time, measure things and know about squares, triangles and rectangles.
What qualification will I receive?
NVQ Level 3 in Accounting - AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians)
Where can it lead?
This qualification can improve employment prospects and lead to higher level study at NVQ Level 4.
What will I study?
Subjects you will study include, preparation of financial statements, cost and management accounts, management information systems and reports and returns.
How will I be taught?
You will be taught through presentations, practice, exercises, assignments, projects and simulations.
How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed through assignments, simulations, tests performed throughout the course and two final external examinations.

There will be access to a personal tutor to help you throughout the course and the College offers a comprehensive range of student services (if eligible), including learning, language support and guidance.
