• Introduction to AP: an overview of your role in the Finance department, month end, year end, management accounts and what the auditors do.
• Checks and controls: matching invoices to purchase orders, authorising, coding and posting invoices.
• Processing expense claims and credit card statements.
• Capital and revenue expenditure.
• Introduction to VAT.
• Non-deductible items.
• Pro-forma invoices.
• VAT payment schedules.
• Settlement discounts.
• Reviewing the Aged Creditors Analysis.
• Identifying and correcting posting errors.
• Supplier statement reconciliations.

This course is highly participative and is designed around a databank of real invoices and reports.
