Join this new, highly practical course to improve your acting skills for the screen.
Acting for TV & Film requires an actor to master and understand a different skill-set to those honed by performing on a stage. Acting & Casting For Screen will give you an extensive insight into the best practices, screen techniques and the processes of filmmaking to help you improve and hone your acting skills. Led by highly experienced industry professionals, practical, collaborative sessions will be combined with acting theory to help you gain a deeper understanding of how to work effectively on-set.
Based in a film school, you become immersed in the production environment while gaining a wealth of opportunities to collaborate with filmmakers and grow an extensive network of industry contacts. Sessions explore the difference between acting for the stage and the screen, introducing you to the TV & Film environment and the jargon necessary to work effectively in the industry. Role-play scenarios will equip you with a practical understanding of the job roles of each crew member to support your ability to work collaboratively on-set to achieve a better performance.
ACTING AND CASTING FOR SCREEN
Two days of the Acting & Casting for Screen course will focus in-depth on the casting process and are open to actors, filmmakers and industry professionals looking to gain an insight into the current casting process for TV, Film and commercials. Practical sessions mean you experience both sides of the casting process ensuring you develop a deeper appreciation of the procedures, expectations and best-practice techniques to effectively cast your projects or land a role.
