Course Description
An introductory course providing an overview of the knowledge and skills related to Acting & Performance to enable you to enter the fields of Acting & Performance, Musical Theatre or Professional Stage Dance. Students will have the opportunity to perform in a variety of plays, musicals and pantomimes. The course therefore develops practical skills and enables students to gain a working knowledge in theatrical disciplines. Successful completion enables students to enter HND Acting & Performance, HND Musical Theatre or HND Professional Stage Dance.

Preferred Entry Requirements
By audition. Appropriate educational qualifications are preferred but this will not be a barrier to candidates if they display the potential and enthusiasm required for a course in the performing arts.

Course Content
Acting Skills; Vocal Skills, Movement, Theatre Skills in Performance. Optional subjects include: Singing Skills; Dance; Audition Techniques, Theatrical Make-up.
