Course programme
With the grey market increasing and becoming more health conscious having the skills and expertise to develop and deliver specialist training programmes is a must for any personal trainer who wants to stay at the top of their game. Throughout the course you will look at age related changes to the body, degenerative diseases as well as psychological and sociological benefits of exercise programmes for the older client. You will be able to create expert programmes, considering all health implications for this specific market, giving you the opportunity to broaden your skill set in the fitness industry.
As more and more 'older' clients embark on a fitness programme it is important to fully understand the needs, wants and specialist requirements of this age group. Taught as a two day intensive workshop, you will sit an invigilated case study exam at the end of the second day and once completed will be able to create exercise plans for all ages with more confidence. You must have a valid level 2 REPs qualification before completing this module.
