Course programme

What Will I Learn

Throughout the course student will have the opportunity to visit outdoor pursuits providers / centres, and participate in outdoors activities such as abseiling, canoeing, rock climbing, hillwaking, etc. Case studies on these providers will be carried out as part of the course.

A range of topics will be covered during the course including employability skills for the activity tourism industries, activity tourism industries, assisting with an event, local tourism product knowledge and basic customer care service skills.

How Will I Learn

A combination of high practical content and classroom based lessons. Students usually will have the opportunity to visit activity tourism centres. Work experience is a central part of this course.
