Thanks for your interest. Our school was founded 30 years ago by Shihan Douglas Adamson and has been growing ever since. We are family owned and operated with Shihan, his wife Janice and each of their four sons heavily involved in teaching. Sensei Lowell Johnson has also worked under Shihan for many years now. We believe we have a talent base, experience level and dedication to Martial Arts Excellence you won’t easily find. From Shihan down, all of our instructors are dedicated and motivated to deliver the highest quality instruction and most beneficial experience to you. In 2001, Shihan was promoted to the head of his own style of martial arts he named Shorei Kai. This style reflects Shihan’s diverse martial arts and educational background and is firmly rooted in Traditional Okinawan Karate. Our classes are disciplined but engaging and fun. You’ll be physically and mentally challenged with lots of interesting curriculum in a safe environment.
