You will develop investigative skills and learn about science in the modern world. You are taught by experienced, enthusiastic staff in well-equipped laboratories at Park Lane Campus.
The course covers a large body of scientific knowledge in a single year and therefore you must have the commitment and time to attend all lessons.
To successfully complete the course you will need to spend a minimum of 4 hours a week completing revision, homework and reading information for the next lesson.
You should be prepared to develop your understanding by reading around topics covered by the lectures and following scientific issues as reported in the press and on television. C grade in GCSE English or IELTS 6.0 C grade in GCSE Mathematics C grade in GCSE Science or prior science experience at or above GCSE level may be considered acceptable. Level 2 BTEC Applied Science at Merit level or above.
