Description
This course is designed to fully introduce Photoshop to beginners and break down highly complex packages into very simple and easy to understand portions.

After completing this course you should be able to:
· Understand the overall Adobe Photoshop art package
· Use various Photoshop methods to edit and improve your own photographs or artwork
· Feel confident with computer art packages in general
Course Content
· The course will assume you know nothing and start right at the beginning with the most basic on screen tools.
· Each week you will learn a few more tools.
· You will learn how to adjust brightness/contrast, delete parts of an image and fill the hole, change colours, remove unwanted marks etc.
Where a course is aimed towards an assessment/examination, it is expected that all students will enter for the qualification.
Method of Assessment
The tutor will monitor your progression by observing and discussing individually.
Progression
An overall knowledge of Photoshop can help you to learn other packages more easily - these include Illustrator, Quark, Flash, Powerpoint etc. It will also help if you are considering an art based further/higher education course.
