THE CARRIAGE OF DANGEROUS GOODS AND USE OF TRANSPORTABLE PRESSURE EQUIPMENT REGULATIONS 2009

The above regulations are now compulsory and drivers of vehicles carrying dangerous substances in tanks or packages must complete a training course and take a number of SQA exams to obtain a certificate.

JMW carry out training courses covering the following Classes, which satisfy the above regulations:

Class 3 Flammable Liquids.

Class 4 Flammable Solids.

Class 5 Oxidising substances and Organic substances.

Class 6 Toxic, Harmful and Infectious

Class 9 Miscellaneous

Should customers prefer, courses can also be taught on customer premises, provided they satisfy SQA criteria, and 10 or more places are booked.

COURSE DURATION:

Courses range from four to five days depending on the number of Classes taken however students have to take the core module plus an additional information category and at least one Class module such as Class 3 Flammable Liquids. (See Enclosed Course Schedule for Details). We can also offer a range of refresher courses for drivers wishing too re-new their existing A.D.R. licence (two and a half days duration).
