ADR is divided into classes, commonly known as Core, Packages, Tankers and the seven common classes.

Our comprehensive training is both theoretical and practicalm so covers ADR for all vehicles and most types of loads. Training includes basic first aid and fire training, course briefing notes, post-course support material, ADR Certificate & ID Badge plus Driver CPC Certificates if CPC is arranged at time of booking.
- Core: Basic syllabus for carrying any class of dangerous goods in Road tankers, tank containers, packages, drums, cylinders and loose in bulk
- Tanks: For carrying any class of dangerous goods, in road tankers or other tanker containers
- Packages & Loose in Bulk: For carrying any class of dangerous goods in (sacks, drums, cylinders, cartons) and loose in bulk (skips, tipper or dust cart bodies etc)
- Class 1: Explosives (an optional extra to standard courses)
- Class 2: Gases; compressed, liquefied, dissolved under pressure or refrigerated
- Class 3: Flammable liquids
- Class 4: Flammable solids, substances liable to spontaneous combustion
- Class 5: Oxidising substances and organic peroxides
- Class 6: Toxic, harmful and infectious substances
- Class 7: Radioactive (an optional extra to standard course)
- Class 8: Corrosives - Acids and Alkalis
- Class 9: Miscellaneous dangerous substances and articles, e.g. asbestos, PCBs and any substance or article not covered by the other classes
ADR training can count towards 35 hours Driver CPC Periodic training
- On Initial Course - up to a maximum of 28 hours Periodic training
- On Refresher Course - 7 or 14 hours Periodic training
Successful candidates are certificated to carry dangerous and hazardous materials (and explosives if taken as an additional class).
CORE = 25 questions - minimum pass of 18
TANKS = 20 questions - minimum pass of 14
PACKAGES = 15 questions - minimum pass of 11
CLASSES 2, 3, 6 & 8 (PAPER 14)= 36 questions - minimum pass of 25
CLASSES 4, 5 & 9 (PAPER 15)= 24 questions - minimum pass of 17
CLASSES 1 & 8 COMMON CHARACTERISTICS(PAPER 13)= 20 questions - minimum pass of 14
Courses and exams are carried our by our partner K Training, an SQA exam centre and are held in Wembley every four to six weeks.
