You will work towards the Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Adults) which includes: duty of care, communication, adult safeguarding, professional development, information handling, person centred planning and a wide selection of optional units to suit your work role that may include medication, venous bloods, moving and handling, services and facilities and negotiating environments, supporting individuals with sensory loss and many more. Level 2 Functional Skills in Maths and English if you do not hold a Gcse at grade C or above or other equivalent qualification. You will also achieve an award in Employer Rights and Responsibilites and Personal Learning and Thinking Skills along with the Technical Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Health and Social Care.

Course programme

Your progress is monitored and assessments are arranged throughout the course and are usually done on-the-job. Assessment has three aspects which include observation of your actual performance and your knowledge and understanding you display in response to written and/ or spoken questions, and a portfolio of support material which you will build up containing assignments, case studies and testimony evidence through the e-portfolio.
