Association of Computer Professionals (ACP) is an independent, professional examining body, setup in 1984. The Association's principal aim is to set and maintain standards of education, which reflect the constantly changing requirements of the computer industry, both in the United Kingdom and overseas.

Teaching Methods
A mixture of lectures, seminars, tutorials and workshops are used. There are group based assessment activities as well as more traditional reports, essays and examinations. Guest speakers and educational visits will add variety and interest to the course.
Exemption from ACP Examinations :
Successful completion of other courses in computing may allow an applicant to be granted an exemption from all or part of an ACP award although, where a total exemption is granted from all components of an award, no certificate/diploma will be issued at that level.
Examinations are held thrice a year, February, June and December
