This course is designed to further develop your academic and practical skills along with your knowledge of sport and active leisure and its impact on the individual, economy and community.

The topics you will study include:

· Managing and promoting participation in sport/active leisure
· Applying science to sport and exercise
· Applying scientific principal to enhance performance
· The sport and active leisure workforce and the economy
· Globalisation and the sport and active leisure industry
· Politics and policies in sport and active leisure
· Promoting opportunities for all in the sport and active leisure industry
· Developing community cohesion through sport and active leisure.

The course will develop your personal learning, thinking skills and ability to work as part of a team. In addition to this the course will also develop your analytical, creative, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.

During the course you will have the opportunity to achieve additional
qualifications in English, Maths and IT as well as industry relevant qualifications.

How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed continuously during the course through a range of assignments, investigations and practical assessments. You will
undertake work experience and complete a work-related project.
