Semester two is undertaken at Newcastle University Business School where you study the following modules:

  • NBS8052 International Marketing (10 credits, 5ECTS)
  • NBS8269 Research Methods for Business and Management Dual Award (10 credits, 5ECTS)
  • NBS8509 International Brand Management (10 credits, 5ECTS)
  • NBS8510 International Marketing Communications Management (10 credits, 5ECTS)
  • NBS8513 Role of Business in Society (10 credits, 5ECTS)

University of Groningen

  • GRON101 International Business Strategy (10 credits, 5ECTS)
  • GRON107 Comparative Institutional Analysis (10 credits, 5ECTS)
  • GRON108 International Finance (10 credits, 5ECTS)
  • GRON109 Industrial Relations (10 credits, 5ECTS)

While in Groningen, you will select one elective module (10 credits, 5ECTS) from a list provided annually by the Degree Programme Director.

While in Newcastle you will select one elective module (10 credits, 5ECTS) from the following:

  • NBS8518 Small Business Marketing and Management (10 credits, 5ECTS)
  • NBS8519 E-Marketing (10 credits, 5ECTS)

Whilst in Groningen candidates will select three elective modules 10 credit (5ECTS) from a list to be provided annually by the Degree Programme Director.

  • GRON109 Elective 3 (10 credits, 5ECTS)

The compulsory dissertation will be taken over semester 3 of year 1 and semester 1 of year 2+ and will be jointly supervised and delivered by Newcastle and Groningen.

  • NBS8199 Dissertation (Dual Award) (50 credits, 25ECTS)

Entry Requirements

A 2:1 honours degree, or international equivalent, in a relevant discipline. The course is taught in English and no knowledge of the Dutch language is required.
