Advanced Massage Techniques

Massage has become the most popular complementary therapy available today and common conditions presented by clients include adhesions, muscle tightness and painful trigger points.

Advanced Massage Techniques are designed to assist in correcting imbalances in soft tissues that are caused from repetitive physical activity or trauma. They release tension and help to relieve painful areas.

If you are a newly qualified therapist or a practicing therapist wishing to further develop your skills, this workshop has been especially designed for you. It includes all the theoretical and advanced practical skills necessary for you to work safely, effectively and with more confidence.

This one day workshop covers the following:

• Proper posture and body mechanics
• Effective use of body weight
• Basic Neuromuscular techniques (NMT)
• Basic Myofascial Release techniques
• Basic PNF Stretching techniques
• Safe use of forearms and elbows
• Working with heel of hands and knuckles
• How to cater your treatments to clients specific needs

CPPD = 5 points

9:30am – 5:30pm (including refreshment breaks and lunch)
