Advanced Medicines Management

This is a follow on course of Medication Management, covering medication policies, audit trails and monitored dosage systems. Drug formulation, bioavailability, crushing and problems with compliance are discussed. Other topics included are nasogastric and P.E.G feeds; repeat dispensing drug monitoring and drug interactions. Drug groups discusses are medicines used to treat hypertension, pain relief, constipation, anxiety and sleep disorders.
The content of the course is in line with Csci recommendations.
This course is suitable for senior carers and managers.
