  • Lots of practical demonstrations and practice by the participants, followed by structured and supportive critique to enable learning to take place in a safe space.

  • Review of the Planning and Structure of a Presentation
  • Embedding the key messages you want to get across to your audience
  • Deciding on the order of the presentation content to aid logic and flow Delivering your Message Convincingly
  • Gauging your audience's reactions to your message
  • Why your words, voice and body language all affect the presentation
  • Creating impact and gaining attention using 30 second messages and 'hooks' Interacting well with the audience
  • Using and handling questions, as a source of engagement
  • Controlling nervous energy when challenged in the presentation
  • Handling interruptions when presenting Using eye-catching Visual Aids
  • The use of technology to enhance the presentation e.g. data projector
  • The 'do's and don'ts' of professional PowerPoint presentations (note: the basics of creating slides are not covered here)
